TRAINING & MEMBERSHIP
Membership
Membership with the Philippine Caving Society (PCS) is open to all and is non-exclusive. The PCS is a non-profit organization whose goals and objectives are “to promote interest, offer training and experience, advance in all ways the study of caves, the protection of caves and their natural contents, and to promote fellowship among those interested”. We believe that in sharing information & experience, an individual member may find opportunities to grow and find self-fulfillment with his or her endeavors within the organization. And PCS shall remain committed in its support to members adhering to its goals and objectives.
The initial membership dues for Associate Regular member is PhpP1500.00 for the first year plus mailing cost if necessary, which include a copy of The Complete Caving Manual; a PCS T-shirt w/logo; a PCS logo patch; a PCS car decal sticker; & 2 pcs. PCS helmet decal stickers. The annual renewal membership due is P1000.

- Read and Adhere to the ‘Cave Conservation Policy”
- Print a copy of “PCS Application Form”
- Fill out info and place signature

Training
Aside from the “Caving Orientation” educational program that is offered by PCS to interested groups, the Basic Single Rope Technique (SRT) course is available to member and non-member individuals interested in acquiring skills in technical caving. Upon completion of the training course, the student will be familiar with a variety of technical climbing equipment and be able to rappel (abseil) and progress (prusik) within vertical sections of a cave.
